Prince Harry live: Duke, Meghan and kids ALL visit King Charles in major update as Princess Kate steps out

While chatting at the Invictus Game event in Birmingham, Alison Hammond spoke to Prince Harry about the viral clip he filmed with US TV host Stephen Colbert last year, in which he lip-synced to an audio of the This Morning presenter.

Speaking about the viral moment, Harry said: “They they found out that I am one of your secret admirers and I follow your every move. So they said, “Who do you want to imitate?” I said, “Obviously Alison. By the way, it was a huge hit. It was. It was a huge hit. We need to do another one before you go. We’ll do another one.”

In the clip Harry is seen lip-synching as he takes on the role of Alison, as the pair recreate a famous exchange between the TV star and Northern Irish baker, Mark Lutton.

In the scene, which was part of the baking show’s New Year ’s Day special in 2024, Hammond mistakenly thought Lutton was telling her to “beg for me”.

Asked what he would want her to do if he was “king for the day” Lutton replied: “Bake for me, probably.” However, Hammond misheard him and seemed shocked when she said: “You’d want me to do what? Beg?” Lutton repeated back to her: “Bake! B-A-K-E,” prompting Hammond to reply: “Oh bake!”, and erupt into laughter.

In the lip-sync clip, liberal comedian Colbert takes on the role of the baker, while Harry clearly enjoyed hamming it up as Alison – complete with raised eyebrows and dramatic expressions.
