Kelsey Plum had an excellent debut for the Phoenix Mercury on Monday. Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream were a bit less accommodating.
Led by Reese’s 14 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and a block, the Dream beat Phoenix 96-82 on Wednesday night.
Rhyne Howard (23 points, eight assists, six rebounds) and Allisha Gray (20 points) also had big games for Atlanta, while Alyssa Thompson (17 points, five boards, seven assists) and Plum (19 points, five rebounds, four assists) led the Mercury.
The Dream moved to 19-11 with the win, while Phoenix fell to 12-20.
Reese also continued her double-double streak, now sitting at four games, and she’s scored double-digit points in all but two WNBA games this season. More importantly, the Dream keep playing winning basketball, picking up their third win in four contests since the All-Star break.
