The Prince and Princess of Wales express ”deep concerns’ after Andrew revelations

The Prince and Princess of Wales have made their first public
statement following the latest revelations about the friendship of
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor with convicted sex offender, Jeffrey
Epstein.

William and Kate said that they are ”deeply concerned by the
continuing revelations”.

Their spokesperson added that ”their thoughts remain focused on
the victims.”

It’s the first public comment from the Prince and Princess of
Wales since further details about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s
relationship with Epstein emerged. They included revelations that
Andrew invited Epstein to Buckingham Palace following his release
from prison for sex offences.

Meanwhile, Thames Valley Police confirmed they are looking into
allegations that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor passed on confidential
information while he was working as a trade envoy.

It follows the release of documents by the US department of
justice that appear to show an email being forwarded to Jeffrey
Epstein by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The message contained
reports of matters discussed during visits to Singapore, Hong Kong
and Vietnam.

The statement from the Prince and Princess of Wales echoes the
sentiments expressed by King Charles and Queen Camilla who have
said that their thoughts remain, first and foremost, with
victims.

The Duke of Edinburgh also underlined the importance of looking
after and supporting all victims when he became the first member of
the Royal Family to speak publicly after the latest
revelations.

King Charles faced more heckling on another engagement with some
boos being heard as he arrived in Clitheroe in Lancashire. One
person waiting to see him shouted out a question about how long The
King ”had known about Andrew and Epstein”.

Last week, The King faced another protester when he visited
Dedham in Essex.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has always denied any wrongdoing. In
the past week, he has left his thirty room residence at Royal Lodge
on the Windsor estate and moved to Wood Farm at Sandringham. It’s
understood the property, which was once used by Prince Philip,
could end up being his permanent home after he raised concerns
about a planned move to Marsh Farm on the same estate.

Sandringham is held privately by The King while Windsor estate
is Crown property. It means that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is now
living on his brother’s land and is accountable to him as a
tenant.
