Princess Beatrice appeared ‘haunted and tense’ in her first appearance in public since her dad’s birthday arrest over the Epstein Files, a body language expert has told the Mirror.
The 37-year-old was seen walking around London with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and a group of friends in her first appearance in public since Andrew was raided at his temporary home on the Sandringham estate last week.
Beatrice wore a lengthy blue overcoat paired with a scarf, clutching her coffee in a petite blue cup, as Edoardo trailed a few steps behind, sporting a smart blue suit and carrying an umbrella.
It might appear, in other words, to be business as usual for the princess and her close friends – but according to body language analyst Judi James, there were clear signs that the pressure of the recent events is weighing on her.

She explained: “Beatrice looks tense, haunted and hunted as she appears to pick up speed as she walks along the street. Her lips are closed and pulled down at the corners in an unusually serious look from a woman who is known for her wide-eyed smiles.
“It’s her eyes that appear to have taken on a more haunted, wary expression here and although she tries to chat to suggest a normal, relaxed outing with friends, her tense facial muscles suggest she’s far from comfortable here.
“She even tries to walk quickly and drink from her coffee cup at the same time, which wouldn’t be a normal manoeuver, suggesting she might be keen to use the cup as a barrier to partially hide her face.”
Judi observed that, when one of Beatrice’s friends used “expansive hand gestures” during a conversation, Beatrice looked down “with her body slightly hunched over her hot drink” in a reticent pose.
“When she does look up she performs a nose-wrinkled expression that hints at a grimace of dislike or disgust, perhaps at the camera attention”, she added.
Her younger sister Eugenie has also been spotted in the capital – but mystery surrounds the current whereabouts of mum Sarah Ferguson, who it was claimed this week had spent time at a wellness retreat in Donegal, Ireland.
According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, Fergie may well have fled the country to seek solace at one of the homes of her many wealthy friends around the world.
“Nobody knows where she is at this moment, I mean she could be anywhere, she could be in Dummer with her stepmother, or she could be abroad,” she told the Mirror.
“She’s got some rich and powerful friends who probably will stick by her, because we know rich and powerful people like drama, and this is a great drama, isn’t it?”.
