So, that 6-6 stretch the Oklahoma City Thunder had in December and early January may have been exactly what we thought it was: insignificant.
After throttling the Houston Rockets (who entered the game with the league’s second-best net rating), 111-91, OKC has now won five straight. Two days before thumping Houston, the Thunder exorcise the San Antonio Spurs demon, beating that team, 119-98.
Now that they have Isaiah Hartenstein back, OKC is back to dominating opponents on the defensive end. And any notions people may have had about their vulnerability suddenly seem far-fetched again.
