Princess Eugenie has announced she is pregnant with her third child.
The youngest daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, who already has two children with her husband Jack Brooksbank, shared the happy news in a statement.
Eugenie and Jack have two sons: August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, who was born February 9 2021, and his younger brother Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, who turned 3 on May 30.
Buckingham Palace made the announcement, adding the King is “delighted” at the news. The princess and Buckingham Palace shared a sweet snap of her two sons looking down at a print of an ultrasound.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.
“August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family. His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”
Rumours first started to emerge of Eugenie’s third pregnancy when she was snapped alongside her husband and sister, Princess Beatrice, on a day out in Mayfair in early May.
One royal fan posted the photos of their outing on social media, in which some believed they could spot Eugenie’s growing baby bump. When the princesses were spotted in their rare joint appearance in London, one witness said they looked “in great spirits as they made the most of the sunshine”.
But behind the smiles, sources say the strain of recent months has taken its toll, particularly on Beatrice, who is believed to be struggling to balance family loyalty with her position within the Royal Family.
Body language analyst Judi James told the Mirror : “While Eugenie appears comfortable putting on a display of resilience and bravado for the cameras, sporting a wide wall-to-wall smile to suggest life is nothing other than perfect, her older sister Beatrice looks less able to bluff it out here, with her gestures and facial expression hinting that she has been hit hard by the fallout of her parent’s dramas.
“Beatrice walks behind her sister here, dressed in a very drab black on a warm sunny day, with her choice of outfit suggesting a desire to avoid attracting attention.
“She has her large bag clamped to the front of her body in a barrier gesture, with one hand held over the front of the bag suggesting a desire to self-protect. In another photo she has her arms folded over her torso which could also be a sign of vulnerability.”
Both Beatrice and Eugenie have been maintaining a low profile as their parents continue to be embroiled in the ongoing Epstein scandal. Their father Andrew was stripped of his titles and kicked out of his Royal Lodge home last year as a result of his association with the convicted sex offender.
On Andrew’s 66th birthday in February, he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He was held in custody for 11 hours at a police station in Norfolk before he was released, when Thames Valley Police confirmed he was under investigation over claims he handed confidential information to Epstein when Andrew was trade envoy to the UK.
