All The Lifestyle, Wellbeing & Experience Picks R29 Loved In March

At least once a week — let’s face it, at least once every day — the writers and editors across Refinery29 discuss the latest and greatest products in our lives, from some cool new water bottle that’s been absolutely saving our lives to a state-of-the-art sleep product that’s changed our eight hours for the better. And gatekeeping isn’t in our vocabulary, so we’re here to share the wealth and highlight our favorite products, just for you, each month.

All linked products are independently selected by our editors. If you purchase any of these products, we may earn a commission.

This year, I’ve made it my mission to become a better hostess. No easy feat when the kitchen is not my favourite space. They may say a good workman never blames his tools, but they’ve clearly not tried the KitchenAid mixer. Now in a trendy spearmint shade, it has made my life easier (and, hopefully, my guests happier too!). From pizza dough to cakes, it feels like there’s nothing this mixer can’t handle and it’s been a gamechanger.

I hope I’m entering a judgement-free zone when I admit this: I tucked into a Hotel Chocolat Easter egg before the celebratory day. How could I resist trying the Patisserie Ostrich Egg? For starters, it’s HUGE (it weighs over two pounds!). And no looks are not deceiving because inside it, you’ll find lots of delicious chocolates to try, too. Next year, I’ll be having the same.

There’s been a theme for me in March: kitchen bound. And this Le Creuset dish has been well used while I’ve tried out new products and new recipes. Now in a new Riviera shade, it feels ideal for Mediterranean style cooking which is my go-to. It’s easy washed and easy stored away, too.

First up: The Tormek T-1 Kitchen Knife Sharpener is intimidating. If, like me, you’ve always relied on a tiny knife sharpener to do the job then it’s time to step it up because the Tormek T-1 is impressive. Not only is it easy to use and store away, but it also makes you feel like the next contestant on MasterChef while using it. Better yet, my kitchen knives have never been sharper.

I’m a firm believer that the right bra can change your life, and this one really has. It’s probably the most comfortable yet supportive bra in my drawer — a combination that usually seems impossible. But Fantasie knows its stuff and it’s excellent for larger bust like mine. The cup is smooth, so it looks just as good under baggy sweaters as it does under tight T-shirts and tank tops. I have one in every color.

We’re in the process of planning a living room overhaul, and I’ve been adamant that I wanted a rattan lamp. This one popped up while I was browsing Nordstrom for new underwear—it’s like it knew—and I added it to my cart immediately. I’m obsessed with the scalloped edge, domed base, and gold fittings, and I deliberated over whether to get it in brown or gold. I ultimately went with gold, and even better, my partner — who usually disagrees with me on decor — likes it too.

As someone who works out from home, I look for equipment that is versatile, compact, and effective, and PVOLVE’s at-home collection offers all of that and still manages to look cute in my makeshift gym. I’ve recently added its 3-pound ankle weights to my routine, allowing me to intensify my lower body workouts when I want an extra challenge.

The latest addition to my at-home gym (really just the cabinets in my laundry room that hold my weights and resistance bands) is the Bala Beam. Its sculptural, ergonomic design makes presses, curls, rows, squats, and lunges less intimidating. Really! Even at 35 pounds, the soft silicone feels much gentler on the skin than the metal bars in traditional gyms. While mine is in black, the beam also comes in pink, green, blue, and beige, adding some sleekness to my workout space that motivates me to pick it up on days when I’d rather just not.

I’ve lived in Orlando for most of my life, and yet I somehow have never made it to Universal Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando Resort until now. From February 7th to April 4th, 2026, Universal Studios feels like a New Orleans getaway, from colorful parades and bead tossing. The celebration also features weekend concerts (I got to watch Bebe Rexha perform hits like “Meant to Be” and “Me, Myself & I”) as well as a marketplace of Cajun and international dishes and drinks.
“With Carnival at the heart of the event, we celebrate the vibrant spirit of international cuisine, and the bold, joyful flavors our cultures bring to the table. Our goal is to craft dishes that not only excite the palate but also make every guest feel welcomed, included, and part of the celebration,” Chef Robert Martinez, Director of Culinary Operations and Executive Chef at Universal Orlando Resort, who leads the team behind the Mardi Gras food offerings, told Refinery29.
As a vegan, I enjoyed the vegan sausage and red beans at the New Orleans kiosk and toasted with Piña Coladas from the Puerto Rico booth with my date. “We focused on countries known for incredible Carnival celebrations and chose dishes that allowed us to showcase live fire cooking at its best. That’s why we brought in items like Puerto Rican pinchos, Brazilian picanha, and our show‑stopping Chile booth, where we fire‑grill fresh Verlasso salmon on custom‑built grills. It creates an energy, a smell, and a flavor that completely immerses our guests,” Martinez added.

I think I may have finally found eye patches that really do the job. These Terez & Honor eye patches are so cooling and visibily reduce my puffiness, especially after a long night.

I had scoliosis surgery as a teenager, and ever since, I have had chronic back pain despite my monthly massages and membership to my local yoga studio. After dealing with chronic aches, specifically in my neck and shoulders, I decided to order this heating pad — and I’m not exaggerating when I say it might be the best thing I’ve ever purchased on Amazon. It’s shaped to fit over your neck and shoulders, and secures with a little button in the front, so it stays in place. This means you get the heat therapy right where you need it without having to hold it in place. Like reviews mention, it heats up fast — like, within a few seconds — and melts away tension. (As with most electric heating pads, some safety precautions to keep in mind: make sure you don’t use on bare skin, and don’t fall asleep with it on. The only thing I don’t love about it is that it plugs into a wall source, so you can’t walk around and do household chores with it on. (That being said, I’d much rather it work as well as it does by plugging than dealing with charging it or replacing batteries.) I’ve already converted several friends onto this heated pad, and hopefully whoever is reading this (you!) will be the next card-carrying member of the heated pad family.

I was already a fan of Calpak’s internet-famous Luka Duffel, and recently I got the backpack version in a sleek metallic charcoal colorway. Like the duffel, it’s padded throughout, which is not only a win for keeping my belongings safe (I travel often and am not always the gentlest on my things), but also makes it much more comfortable to wear. (Plus, it has a back strap to securely attach to your suitcase handle.) The 15” back compartment fits my laptop perfectly, and there’s plenty of other pockets to keep my myriad lip balms, keys, dog treats, etc. organized. Most backpacks are more or less variations on the same theme, but this one is truly elite in my book.

I recently upgraded my old duvet to Cozy Earth’s Bamboo Duvet Cover, and what an upgrade it was. Not only is this duvet cover luxuriously soft and silky, but it’s supremely breathable and lightweight — an excellent choice if you tend to run warm under the covers, as I do. (The viscose fabric is also so cool to the touch that I can still cuddle up with it and not feel like I’m overheating.) I opted for the Charcoal colorway, which I love for a moody — in a good way — yet elevated bedroom vibe. I’m already debating getting it in a second, brighter colorway ahead of summer.
