Meghan Markle has shared a rare glimpse into her family life as she gushes over her son Archie’s epic skills on the slopes.

The Duchess of Sussex posted a video of her six-year-old son skiing effortlessly alongside his dad Prince Harry, on the backdrop of stunning mountain views.

After filming the pair gliding down the ski run in sweet matching gear, she wrote on Instagram this morning: “My boys. Quick learner, Archie! So proud”. She ended the post with a love-heart emoji. Harry can be heard cheering Archie on and sweetly looking back at his son as he leads the way.

It’s clear Archie is taking after his dad, who is an avid skiier. Harry was last spotted on the slopes in December with his close pal Nacho Figueras, and reportedly spent hours zipping through the snow.

The cute skiing lesson with father and son comes just a day after Meghan hinted at the Sussexes Easter plans, as she was spotted shopping for toys for Archie and his sister Lilibet on Wednesday. Browsing a local shop in sunny Montecito, California, the former Suits actress reportedly purchased Magic Rabbit playing cards and Magic Castle Sea Monkeys.

“She was picking up Easter gifts for her kids and her godchildren,” a source told People Magazine. “She was there for a while, talking to the staff and making selections.”

Meghan is godmother to Remi and Rylan Litt, the daughters of her close pals Benita and Darren Litt. She’s previously described them as her “fairy goddaughters,” and they served as bridesmaids at her wedding.

Meanwhile, Harry has been gearing up to return to the slopes. His love of skiing is said to have began when his late mother Princess Diana took him and Prince William on a trip to Lech in Austria back in 1991. The brothers were pictured on chair lifts alongside their mother. Heartbreakingly, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see similar snaps again with the pair now estranged.

The Duke is set to make a visit to UK in July ahead of next year’s Invictus Games, which are being held in Birmingham. His father, the King, is also making a trip to America this month for an official State visit. But he is not expected to see his son, or his grandchildren.

Charles last saw Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, in June 2022 when the Sussexes travelled to the UK for the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

On Wednesday, Harry gave a speech in Washington DC to the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) global summit on privacy, AI governance and cybersecurity law. As part of his ongoing campaign work on digital safety, he welcomed two landmark lawsuits against major tech companies, declaring: “Finally, some truth and accountability has arrived.”

The Duke told the summit that he had done a “deep dive into the tech-fuelled world in which my children – all our children – are growing up” and spoke of “harrowing stories” of how time spent on the big tech companies’ platforms had led to “grave and irreversible harm”.

His comments were made in reference to two cases last week over social media addiction, where a New Mexico jury ordered Meta to fork out $375m (£280m) in civil penalties and a Los Angeles jury ordered Meta and YouTube to pay $6m damages to a 20-year-old woman. Harry, not mincing his words, said: “About bloody time!”

He added: “A jury confirmed what parents have felt and experts have said all along – the systems driving our social media platforms have been built to exploit, not protect. And the people at the heart of it have always known it.”
