As we firmly embrace fall fashion, Refinery29 editors have been taking our autumn must-haves out for a spin. Since September, we’ve been reaching for versatile staples like trench coats (with a twist!), spacious handbags (from oversized totes to slouchy shoulder bags), and boots (notably tried-and-true knee-highs) from reader-favorite brands like Free People, Damson Madder, and Alo Yoga that can serve as outfit building blocks.
